Moldova.Trip into Dictatorship

Dear friends,

It has been already a week, since the tragic events of April 7 in Chisinau (alleged rigged elections, protests, the Parliament and Presidency devastation, arrests).

Fear, terror, harassment, beatings, tortures, sexual abuses and death...This is what Moldova is passing through right now. And all these violations are committed by law enforcement and the Communist Government (currently, the ruling party in Moldova).

In attachment, you will find 30 pages of news pieces, collected from the local media during the period of April 6 - 15, 2009 and translated into English. The aim of this material is to inform the foreign public opinion and to offer a better understanding of what has happened and, probably, how all these events will shape the future of Moldova and the Eastern region of EU neighbourhood.

I would like to kindly ask you to share this material with the press and Human Rights NGOs from your country and all your friends that might pass it further.
