President Basescu Asks EC To Back Projects Linking Romanian, Moldovan Infrastructure

Romania continues its campaign to help the Moldovan Government in its road to European Integration.

According to Mediafax, Romanian President Traian Basescu said Thursday that he asked the European Commission to back three projects aiming to connect Romania’s infrastructure (energy, gas and railway infrastructures) to that of the Republic of Moldova.

"I raised the issue of the Republic of Moldova, as Romania is of the opinion that Moldova should be granted a European perspective," Basescu said.
