Pe langa “raurile interioare” :) propunem doamnei Udrea si o mica analiza a situatiei turismului
Pe langa “raurile interioare” :) Romanian Youth Voice doreste sa ii arate doamnei Elena Udrea care este situatia turismului in tara noastra…
Stimati cititori,
Avem din nou un minister al turismului. Foarte bine, aveam nevoie!
Romanian Youth Voice va propune o analiza a situatiei turismului in tara noastra. Poate va trage cu ochiul si d-na Elena Udrea si va sti de unde sa plece in demersurile glorioase ale domniei sale.

The problems of the tourism in Romania and the steps that can be followed to improve the situation.
The roads the cause of the insufficient development in tourism
According to the WTTC, the bad condition of the roads in Romania is the main cause to stop the huge tourist potential of the country. In this context, considerable structural funds from the EU in 2007-2013 are aimed to be used for developing the national road system.
On the same time, another recommendation of the WTTC is the development of regional airports using the model of Sibiu, which can be considered a new door for Transilvania. It is also argued that besides the 5 neighbouring countries of Romania, which bring most of the tourists, the next countries that give a good market for the tourism are Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Great Britain, that is why, special attention should be given for developing the market.

More investment
The Romanian tourist market seems very attractive for the foreign investors since most of the big world players in tourism announced their investment. The specialists expects a considerable development of the four and five stars business tourism, together with the entrance on the market of international hotel chains such as: Radisson, Hyatt, Kempinsky sau Le Meridien Radisson, Hyatt, Kempinsky or Le Meridien.
Although Romania has 1.300 resources of mineral waters which is 30% of the total in Europe, the spas and health resorts are still undeveloped.

More cultural heritage tourism
According to the president of the WTTC, Jean-Claude Baumgarten, Romania has to get over its seasonal tourism and to use more the cultural heritage including the painted Monasteries in Bucovina, the medieval city fortress of Sighisoara, the ancient fortress of the Dac civilisation in Orastie Mountain or even the legend of Dracula, while transforming the Romanian seaside into the main focus of the investment could not lead to the expected results since there is an important competition with Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria.

More advertising
On the same time, Mr. Jan Van Steen, president of the European Travel Agents and Tour Operators Associations said that Romanian tourism needs more advertising and in this respect, Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture 2007, is a good example for that.
